Modern, efficient road and railway systems connect it to the most important national and European systems: - access to the A1 limited-access highway guarantees connections to the national and European limited-access highway systems; - the A12 limited-access highway allows quick arrival at Rome and Fiumicino Airport; - while a fast flow highway system quickly connects Civitavecchia with the coast and the regional hinterlands. The railway system consists of the Turin - Genoa - Pisa - Rome line with branches at Pisa to Florence - Bologna and at Grosseto to Siena - Chiusi. It includes a railway ferry to and from Sardinia. The maritime station presently offers diverse services to
passengers: waiting rooms, bank teller services, left luggage, ticket sales to Sardinia,
information bureaus, refreshment bars.
In side the port there are offices of the most important authority, they are on the alert on a good trend of port and traffics.
NEAR TOURS:Civitavecchia Port is near Rome "Caput mundi", the "Endless City", keeper of the art and history of Italy. In 20 minutes you can arrive to Tarquinia, splendid medieval town, famous during the Etruscan Period. Along the coast to Rome, you can meet Santa Marinella, tourist seaside resort.
